A SUCCESSFUL WINK EVENT

Quebec City, February 25, 2021
- To mark the Quebec City International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, the organization held its Clin d'oeil Pee-Wee event this weekend. Maxime Talbot and Pascal Dupuis, two former NHL stars, were there to run the hockey clinics, which were a real success!

An event without spectators

The Clin d'oeil Pee-Wee presented by IGA in collaboration with Solutions MBG, took place at place Jean-Béliveau on Saturday and Sunday. Only 8 teams from the Capitale-Nationale evolving in bubble classes were able to participate in the event, an event which, due to the pandemic and government instructions, took place without spectators. Not even the parents of the players were able to attend the hockey clinics, which is why the organization wanted to capture every moment. Here is the video of the Clin d'oeil Pee-Wee:

Make the Pee-Wee happy

The Clin d'oeil Pee-Wee, a private event presented by IGA in collaboration with Solutions MBG, took place at place Jean-Béliveau. For the occasion, a special edition site was set up: an ice rink surrounded by small strips, 8-foot-high snow walls and multiple-colored lights. Our traditional crowd host, Marcel Lajeunesse, was even there to introduce the players and comment on the hockey clinics. Everything was there to create a "wow" effect, so that young people felt privileged and experienced a part of the Pee-Wee Tournament!

"One thing was clear for us, we wanted to please players who missed their chance to experience the Pee-Wee Tournament. With all the restrictions due to the pandemic, we had very few options. There is no hockey, no gatherings possible, but we still managed to make the best of the situation and create something unique for the youngsters." explains Patrick Dom, General Manager of the Tournament.

"Pro" advices

The activity took place in the form of hockey clinics run by 2 former NHL stars: Pascal Dupuis and Maxime Talbot as well as a special guest, Julien Tremblay, Alexis Lafrenière's private coach. The clinics aimed to develop the personal skills and techniques of the players through the advice of these professional players. Our special guests took the time to interact with the young people, answer their questions, all to make their experience memorable. We would like to thank them once again for their dedication.
